YEARS INVOLVED WITH SPECIAL OLYMPICS: This is my first year volunteering and I’m very excited to be a part of this organization!
WHAT IS YOUR VOLUNTEER POSITION: I am currently the Assistant Local Coordinator for SOBC North Shore.
HOW DID YOU BECOME INVOLVED: I grew up on the North Shore most of my life so I wanted to give back to my community in any way I could. I saw a posting online for the Assistant Local Coordinator position and Kelly Klein was generous enough to bring me on board and the rest is history!
WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT VOLUNTEERING: I enjoy volunteering with SOBC North Shore because I’m in a position where I can help athletes achieve their goals as well as meet so many new people along the way!
MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT OR EVENT AS A VOLUNTEER: So far my most memorable moment is seeing the faces of the athletes in 5 pin bowling as they showed me their scores for the day. They were all so excited to showcase their accomplishments and they looked like they were having a blast, and I think that is truly what SOBC is all about!
