HOW YOU BECAME INVOLVED: We are a family of skiers. I wanted my son, Cal, to learn to ski, too. So, I started organizing a ski program.
WHAT YOU LIKE ABOUT VOLUNTEERING: I like to see the athletes’ self esteem go up with all their accomplishments in Special Olympics sports.
MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT OR EVENT AS A VOLUNTEER: Seeing the athletes improve their skills from first learning to put their skis on, to winning races and being so proud of their accomplishments.
