HOW YOU BECAME INVOLVED: I saw a bulletin at the Harry Jerome Recreation Center, requesting volunteers for softball
WHAT YOU LIKE ABOUT VOLUNTEERING: I like being with the athletes – enjoying and encouraging them in their sports
MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT OR EVENT AS A VOLUNTEER: My Dad was very sick for about a year before he passed away. This was a very sad and stressful time for me. But, when I came to bowling and was with my team, the Jets, all my new friends helped to cheer me up. Even if I arrived feeling sad and overwhelmed, I cam home feeling much better. Thanks to all my friends at Special Olympics.
