2025 SOBC Polar Plunge. The Polar Plunge was a great success this year. Many said it was larger than last year. Lots of West Van police and Firefighters were there along with the main group of the North Van RCMP. Athlete Danielle Juilfs gave a speech to the whole group. Athletes Bradley Sampson, Dallas Findlay and Daniel Gawenda braved the cold waters and took part in the plunge. Coach Johnny Gelacio, also a Volunteer RCMP, took part in the polar festivities as well. CBC news and Global News were there and interviewed various people including Danielle and Dallas. A few parents/ caregivers went into the water as did many police and others from the public.

Athlete Danielle Juilfs recently gave a presentation to the NV RCMP talking about SOBC and her own success. She was given a tour of the detachment and met various officers. She is pictured here with Officer In Charge Jayson Lucash. This presentation was to raise awareness for the upcoming North Shore Polar Plunge.
