It is at this meeting that voting members (all registered athletes and volunteers) can nominate and elect next year’s executive members. Those attending the Annual Meeting can purchase tickets for the Sweet Year End Wrap Up at a discounted rate of $5 each.

Celebrate this year’s accomplishments while enjoying some sweets desserts. Tickets cost $10 each unless you attend the Annual Meeting and purchase them there for $5 each. Tickets will be sold at sporting programs the week prior to the event.
Special Olympics BC – North Shore provides sport training and competition for all levels of athlete—from developmental to high performance. Over 200 athletes on the North Shore train and compete in local Special Olympics programs, and many go on to participate in regional, provincial, national and international competitions.
SOBC – North Shore is an inspiring example of a grassroots organization with volunteers working together to support the goal of providing sport opportunities for people with an intellectual disability. Their reward is witnessing the positive impact that involvement in sport has on the lives of athletes. Having a large number of committed volunteers is vital to continuing success. Special Olympics BC offers programs for individuals of all ages and ability levels. Athletes can train year round and are given the opportunity to participate in competitions regardless of their skill level. There is equal opportunity for everyone. Special Olympics BC is, first and foremost, a sport organization. We treat the athletes as athletes, and as equals. We promote effort, dedication and fair play in sport.
